Venue

Royal Holloway, University of London, is one of the leading UK research Universities and part of the University of London. The Royal Holloway is a campus university and is located close to London which can be reached by train (~40 minutes). Attractions close to the Royal Holloway campus are Windsor, including the Castle and Windsor Great Park, Saville Gardens and the River Thames.

The University is well placed for international travel and is close (15 minutes) to Heathrow airport and the M4 and M25 motorways. The conference will be held in the brand new Management Auditorium.

Accommodation on campus is excellent and the University provides a quiet and pleasant location for the 5th conference.

How to Reach Us

Air and Taxi

Royal Holloway is close to Heathrow airport (approx. 15-20 minutes by car). It is advisable to book flights to Heathrow. Alternatively, the next best option is Gatwick which, depending on traffic is 30-40 min by car. To reach Windsor or Royal Holloway we suggest you make arrangements with a taxi service. You can either pre-book a driver to meet you at the airport arrivals lounge or upon arrival call a taxi service for a car. Please, do not take a Black Cab. Instead we advise that you book a car with Windsor Cars;

For journeys to / from Heathrow/Gatwick and Royal Holloway, the fixed cash prices are as follows:

  • Heathrow Terminals 1,2,3, and 4 - £18.00
  • Heathrow Terminal 5 - £16.00
  • Gatwick - £53.00

Please note these prices apply whether it is an advanced booking or immediate call out on arrival.

Further Information / charges:

Meet and Greet service with name board / sign - £10.00 which includes car park charge, and first 40 minutes of waiting time after the flight has landed. Additional waiting time is charged at £15 per hour or part thereof.

Credit Cards - please note if the guest pays by credit card, corporate or personal, there will be a small additional surcharge.

Flight numbers and times - for advanced bookings we would be very grateful if delegates could confirm the flight number and arrival time. We will then monitor the flight information on-line.

Rail

Royal Holloway can be reached from Waterloo by taking a train to Egham (35 minutes) and then a taxi to Royal Holloway (5 minutes). Train timings can be found on the TFL website, http://www.tfl.gov.uk/.

Car

Local Excursions

Windsor (http://www.windsor.gov.uk/)
Situated on the Thames just 7km from Royal Holloway Windsor is home to Queen Elizabeth. Windsor is a beautiful and lively town surrounding Windsor Castle, the largest inhabited castle in the world. Can be reached by taxi or bus.

Saville Gardens (http://www.theroyallandscape.co.uk/landscape/savillgarden/)
One of the most spectacular ornamental gardens in England if not the world. Either take a taxi or a long walk.

Wentworth Golf Course (http://www.wentworthclub.com)
The world famous golf course is within walking distance of the Royal Holloway. You wont be able to play golf here but you can walk round the site and its beautiful grounds.
