The Conference is open to researchers from all over the
world with the aims to promote beneficial discussion, foster
collaborations, share knowledge and exchange new ideas.
This Conference follows the 2004 and 2006 meetings held in the Smolenice castle, Slovakia, and the 2008 meeting held in Naples, Italy.
The Conference is intended for people working on any species of spore-forming bacteria with Sessions addressing various aspects of the biology of spore-formers, including:
- cell division and chromosome segregation,
- sporulation,
- spore structure and germination,
- spores as probiotics,
- biomedical and biotechnological applications of spores,
- ecology of spore-formers,
- pathogenic spore-formers.
Contributions from young scientists are specially welcomed. The Organizing Committee will preferentially accomodate presentations of Postdocs and PhD students into the programme.
